Importing GN Wav and Aif Samples to the
Roland Fantom-Xa Drum Pads

1) Press Menu on the Fantom-Xa......Go to USB Storage.....press F2 it should say Internal.
2) On your PC go to My Computer....then the Drive that is your Fantom (This is usually E:\ ....depending on the amount of drives that you have....the drive will say "Fanx User ")
3) Open the particular folder that you downloaded and unzipped the GN .Wav & .Aif Samples.....navigate to the ROLAND/SMPL folder and select all samples
4) Copy and Paste these samples from this folder to "E:\Roland\SMPL" (or whatever drive the Fantom is on)
5) Exit USB connection on the Fantom (F6)
6) Now on the fantom click “Sample Edit List” 2 times
7) Then you should be on the Sample List page and you go to Utility (F5) ……………Go To IMPORT AUDIO……….. go down to Roland and hit enter …………………….now go down to SMPL
8) Go to SET ALL (F5)………..Go to import (F6)……….Sounds should be processing now
9) Now you should be at the SAMPLE LIST page again if not click “Sample Edit List” 2 times
10) Now you can preview the sounds. Once you find the sound(s) you want on the pads, click assign (F4) ……..go to to PAD (F5)
11) Now choose which pad you want to assign the sample on. When done, go to exec

10) Now mark all the sounds you want to import……….go to assign (F4)…..go to rhythm (F3)… go to select
11) Now hit exit ……… go to write, go to PATCH/Rhythm ……Now name the kit.
