Our Sounds and samples are divided up into two categories:
Sounds for Hardware Samplers

There are many categories of sounds including Hip Hop, Dance, R&B, Neo Soul, UK Hip Hop, East Coast, West Coast, Midwest, Reggaeton, Latin and more.

All categories of sounds have sound collections or sound kits that are pre-programmed for various hardware samplers and software samplers except for wav samples of course 🙂

Here is the break down and detail of each hardware sampler and software sampler. If you have one of the following hardware samplers or software samplers, then Gotchanoddin.com sounds are setup and ready to load for you!

Wav Samples – Get Wav Samples and Wav Sounds to import in your favorite hardware or software sampler. The wav samples also include the Patch files for Native Instruments Battery .kit, Kontakt .nki, Apple Logic Pro EXS 24 .exs, &
Steinberg’s Halion .fxp.

Native Instruments Battery Samples – Battery Sounds pre-programmed in the Battery .kit format. Hip Hop Sample CDs, Reggaeton Sample CD, Latin Sample CD, Drum Sample CD and more. For download options, an email containing a download link will be sent within 24 hours (usually within 10 min. to 1hr.).

Akai MPC1000 Sounds – MPC1000 sounds ship in .pgm program and .wav files. Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will contain 4 .pgm files: Drums (64), Effects (32), Instruments/ Synths (32) and then a fourth pgm file containing both the Effects and Instruments (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 3 pgm files.

MPC 1000 instrument sounds feature one sample on each pad bank in each pgm file and are mapped across all of the pads. Using 16 levels is not recommened with these kits.

To load MPC 1000 sounds on a compact flash card, you’ll need to go 2 folders deep into the flash card to find the pgm files and samples.

Akai MPC 2000 Sounds & Akai MPC2000xl Sounds – MPC2000 and MPC 2000xl sounds ship in .pgm program and .snd files. Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will contain 4 .pgm files: Drums (64), Effects (32), Instruments/ Synths (32) and then a fourth pgm file containing both the Effects and Instruments (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 3 pgm files.

MPC2000 and MPC 2000xl instrument sounds feature one sample on each pad bank in each pgm file and are mapped across all of the pads. Using 16 levels is not recommened with these kits.

When using the download option, MPC sounds will not play on the computer. You must first convert the snd files to wav files in the MPC before being able to play back on a computer.

Akai MPC 2500 Sounds – MPC 2500 sounds are the same as the MPC2000 and MPC 2000xl sounds. MPC2000 and MPC 2000xl sounds load perfectly into the MPC 2500.

When using the download option, MPC 2500 sounds will not play on the computer. You must first convert the snd files to wav files in the MPC2500 before being able to play back on a computer.

Akai MPC 3000 Sounds – MPC 3000 sounds ship in .pgm program and .snd files. Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will contain 4 .pgm files: Drums (64), Effects (32), Instruments/ Synths (32) and then a fourth pgm file containing both the Effects and Instruments (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 3 pgm files.

MPC3000 instrument sounds feature one sample on each pad bank in each pgm file and are mapped across all of the pads.

Akai MPC 4000 Sounds – MPC 4000 sounds ship in .akp program and .wav files. Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will contain 4 .akp files: Drums (64), Effects (32), Instruments/ Synths (32) and then a fourth akp file containing both the Effects and Instruments (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 3 akp files.

MPC4000 instrument sounds feature one sample on each pad bank in each akp file and are mapped across all of the pads.

Motif Sounds & Motif ES Sounds – Motif sounds & Motif ES sounds ship in .w2v .w3v files. Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will typically contain 2 files: Drums (64) and one containing Effects and Instruments (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 2-3 w2v / w3v files.

When using the download option or copying over, these sounds will not play on the computer.

Triton Sounds – Triton sounds ship in .kmp, .ksc, or .pcg files depending on the sound kit. GN Triton Sounds will load in the Triton Classic, Triton LE (need the sampler option installed), Triton Extreme, and the Triton TR (need the sampler option installed). Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will typically contain 2 files: Drums (64) and one containing Effects and Instrument Chops (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 2-3 files.

When using the download option or copying over, these sounds will not play on the computer.

Reason Refills – Reason sounds ship in the native Reason Refill format .rfl files. These Reason Refills highly compress the sample data and contain .sxt patch files specifically for the NN-XT sampler in Reason.
Sound kits that feature 128 sounds will typically contain 4 files within the Reason Refill: Drums (64) Effects (32), Instruments (32) and one containing Effects and Instruments (64). Addon Collections typically feature 96 samples spread across 2-3 .sxt patch files within the Reason Refill.

When using the download option or copying over, these sounds will not play on the computer.

Roland MV8000 Sounds – MPC2000 and MPC 2000xl sounds import perfectly into the MV 8000 and make expanding your MV8000 sounds simple. Get more information about how to import MPC sounds into the MV 8000.

When using the download option, MV 8000 sounds will not play on the computer. You must first convert the snd files to wav files in the MV8000 before able to play back on a computer.

Roland Fantom Sounds – Since the Roland Fantom Series keyboards have a complex file system, it is easier to load wav & aif samples into the Roland Fantom S, Roland Fantom X, or Roland Fantom Xa.
